This role is less about technical engineering and more about understanding how things are running, taking ownership of the numbers, and helping improve performance over time.
You’ll be working across electricity, fuel and water, ensuring billing is accurate, usage is understood, and costs are well managed. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and support improvements while a broader strategy is being developed.
It’s a role that sits across data, operations and stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of utilities data and reporting across the business.
This includes tracking usage and costs, identifying trends and anomalies, and ensuring billing is accurate and aligned to what’s actually being used. You’ll work with suppliers to resolve issues, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that help the business make better decisions.
You’ll also act as a key point of contact internally, helping different teams understand what’s happening and where improvements can be made.
What we’re looking for
We’re open on background, but this role will suit someone who is comfortable working with data and enjoys understanding how things operate.
You might come from a facilities, property, infrastructure or operations environment, or from an analytical or commercial role where you’ve been working with cost, usage or performance data.
What matters most is your ability to:
- work with data and draw insights from it
- understand how costs and operations connect
- manage stakeholders and suppliers confidently
- take ownership and follow things through
Why this role
This is a great opportunity to step into a role with real scope and visibility across a large organisation.
You’ll gain exposure to utilities, infrastructure and operational decision-making, while being supported by a broader programme of work and external expertise.
It’s a 12 month fixed term contract, with the potential to grow into something broader over time.
