About Prendos

Prendos are an award-winning property valuation and consultancy company. Originally formed in 1988 with the aim to gain a part of the New Zealand market. Over the past 30 years, they have grown to have five offices across New Zeland that enable them to provide a range of quality services; such as dispute resolution, corporate surveying, architecture, quantity surveying, structural engineering, fire engineering, project management and most recently, asbestos surveying and management services to the practice.

They are known for breaking new ground with leaky building surveys and remedial designs for homeowners and Body Corporates and were also instrumental in bringing greater awareness and understanding of the issue to the public, industry, and government. Prendos has assessed and remediated thousands of buildings and is currently New Zealand’s largest employer of building surveyors.

Fire Engineer (Takapuna-based)

Due to continued success our head of Fire - Tania Morgun is looking to employ a Fire Engineer to assist with the increasing workload experienced from referrals in other parts of our business. 
We are looking for someone that understands NZ Fire Code and building regulations. You will also have experience with commercial construction and understand different construction methodology. Lots of the work we perform is GAP assessment and analysis.
This role will have you focused on fire safety - so writing fire reports to the acceptable solutions legislation for a mix of new build and remediation work.
Projects vary and include everything from townhouses, apartments to leady buildings and seismic strengthening. We also do a lot of work with the Ministry of Education - a recent win is Takapuna Grammar School.
To be considered for this role you will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification in Fire Engineering recognised in New Zealand. Your level of experience is negotiable as we could support someone with 1-2 years of experience through to 10 + years of experience.
