This organisation has grown in both reputation and delivery capability. They now offer clients an excellent all round construction and project delivery service including design and build. They continue to grow and take advantage of the expanding Wellington construction market.

Currently, they are on the lookout for an experienced Services Manager or Engineer to coordinate and project manage the services components on a selection of their projects. This role will be site and office based and you will be working alongside other Site Managers as part of a large project team. Your core responsibilities will be to liaise with sub-contractors and design engineers on all mechanical and electrical issues.

It is essential you come from either a mechanical or electrical background, however, we need you to be experienced in both. You will most likely hold a relevant tertiary qualification or be trade qualified and have worked in a similar role previously.

You will be rewarded with a salary package between $80K and $110K plus vehicle.

This mainstay of the Wellington commercial construction sector currently has an opening for an experienced Planner to join the team. With a diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for a Planner with at least 4-7 years' worth of experience in the main contracting market. We are looking for Planner who has a passion for their job and the project at hand whilst also being able to work within a good and healthy team environment.

Your general responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain the contractor's plan in accordance with the contract
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of the programme
  • Communicate programme performance, time and outcomes in a timely way with stakeholders and the Project Managers 
  • Manage and control programme information
  • Accountable for implementing and promoting strong programme governance throughout the delivery of the project
  • Understand the constraints, logistics, any site-specific requirements and clear all doubts that may arise from reading the tender documents/drawings.
  • Preparation of programme and method information for inclusion in submission document as per the tender deliverables requirement.
  • Develop the tender programme into a fully integrated design, procurement and project programme in coordination with the site management team.
  • Attend tender handover meeting, discuss the methodology and programme strategy and describe potential target that can be achieved, any ideas for improvement on time and cost etc.
  • Develop short-term programmes as per the requirements of the team to assist in managing microelements of the project.
  • Assess the effects of client changes to the contract programme and advice the management if any delay notices/early warnings are to be raised for extension of time on the project.
  • Conduct programme audits as required by senior management and submit independent reports.

What you will have: 

  • Relevant qualifications in construction or engineering
  • Comprehensive programme delivery experience
  • Demonstrable experience in leadership, resource allocation, and general management
  • Experience in risk identification and assessment
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of managing and maintaining a works programme
  • Knowledge of full MS Office suite including Project.

In recognition of this highly specialised skill, you will be rewarded with a top salary package between $100K and $130K plus benefits including company vehicle.
