In this role you will be responsible for the efficient and timely running of major projects, design management and contractor procurement, you will take sole responsibility for specific pieces of work in addition to being an important support person to your Senior Project Manager.
You will be a great communicator and you will impress clients with the way you conduct business. The projects you will be part of are often high end and in the public eye and so you will coordinate with the best consultants and contractors in the construction sector.
Ideally you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Building science, engineering, architecture or quantity surveying. You will work well in a team and have ambition to further develop your career. You will have a desire to be a part of amazing construction projects!
A busy workload means the Wellington office needs a Project Manager to join the team. As a Project Manager, you will lead a team and are ultimately responsible for the delivery of projects. In addition to the delivery of projects you are responsible for client relationships and as a leader in the business, you will provide guidance to the wider team.
The projects you will be responsible for are mainly commercial construction projects, projects range in sectors including schools, government, industrial and educational.
The ideal person will be a Project Manager with solid experience delivering medium-sized projects in New Zealand for a consultancy or perhaps a main contractor.
Ideally, you will be familiar with the nuances of delivering projects with government clients, you will be an exceptional communicator and your clients will be impressed with the way you conduct business. Ideally, you will be degree qualified in building science, engineering or Architecture or other related disciplines.

Client facing Project Manager needed to lead Iconic construction projects
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be directly responsible for delivering large projects worth $50M or more. You will oversee and lead a team to deliver small to medium-sized construction projects. You will plan and organize works to be undertaken, manage the projects through the construction phase coordinating external contractors and consultants. You will be responsible for the financial elements of projects including the preparation of project budgets, reporting, management and the allocation of resources.
To succeed in this role as Senior Project Manager you will have proven experience delivering commercial construction projects in NZ, you will be able to lead teams, guiding your team as they deliver projects $3M - $20M. A high level of stakeholder management is key and you will be confident chairing and steering meetings and groups at a high level.
Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in construction, project management, architecture or cost management however if you have solid project delivery experience and exceptional communication skills then we would like to hear from you as well.
