As a Senior Technician in the Wellington Construction Design Team you will primarily assist the design managers to provide fit for purpose detailed construction drawing packages that meet the requirements of the wider construction and design teams. These packages will enable your internal customers to effectively manage; cost, tender and build requirements.
Your key responsibilities will be technical design & project delivery using Revit for software. From a business functionality point of view you will work closely with design managers to develop construction documentation.
This role focuses on major projects meaning that you get to develop multi-storey mixed-use apartment blocks up to 7 storey's tall in Auckland. We need your expertise in high rise design as our site is large at 2.7Ha, you, the design managers and the team of designers have 27,000m2 of floor space targeted for production in-house. Health & Safety is also very important with Summerset having a safety culture based on zero-harm.
Continued knowledge and innovation is something that Summerset encourages and we would expect you to improve your skills, knowledge, and awareness of new innovations in design technology. We are always open to hearing about new ideas. Aside from that you will also be involved with Project Management in conjunction with the Design Managers and help mentor technicians.
To be considered you will need to understand NZS3604 and the NZ building code, have advanced Revit ability if you can use Masterspec or 3D studioMax that would be an advantage. You will also need experience on major project, multi-storey design. LBP 2 (design) or if not we can sponsor. Learn and use BIM systems and models.

As a Design Manager with Summerset Group, you will primarily be leading projects across multiple development sites in the Auckland region. You will work closely with the Development design team and external architects to manage projects in the design concept phase including preparing drawings and presentations.
You will also be responsible for leading design teams on projects in the design management and output phases. You will oversee completion of the detailed construction drawing packages that meet the requirements of your internal customers to manage cost, tender and build requirements.
The Head of Design who is Wellington-based will work closely with you to help deliver these projects. The rest of the design team is Wellington-based, so you will need to be comfortable working autonomously.
You will be a seasoned professional who holds a relevant tertiary qualification, LBP would be nice to have but isn't essential as this is primarily a site based role.

Support the Lead Quantity Surveyor on a large mixed-use development project
This national business currently has a number of major development projects on the go across the whole of New Zealand. They have a full in-house design and construction team producing developments which encompass residential, commercial, healthcare and civil works.
You will join the team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor reporting into the Lead Quantity Surveyor based on site in the heart of Auckland. You will be well paid, looked after with a clear career progression pathway to Lead Quantity Surveyor and your own project in time.
You will be a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a decent level of experience ideally in the NZ market. It is envisaged that you will either come from a large main contractor or possibly a small to medium sized contractor with experience on development projects. Above all though, your temperament and personality will need to fit this high performing team.
You will be rewarded with a salary package between $120K and $140K plus ongoing training and development.
Senior QS required to assist with managing a section of a large development project in Auckland
This large national development firm operates an in-house construction team comprising cost managers, project managers, and site managers. They have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist them on a contract basis on one of their large projects.
You will be responsible for all contract administration and some procurement on a section of this $100M+ project. Reporting into the Commercial Manager you will need to hit the ground running and pick up the project details very quickly.
This contract is for an initial 3-month term but could be extended. The role is site based and there is car parking available.
You will be paid an hourly rate between $80ph and $100ph + GST
